HR Management Fundamentals (Online)

Description

This 6-part program will focus on foundational HR practices including legislative and legal requirements, retention, hiring and onboarding and evaluating performance. This program will also build on the HR elements and dig into the foundations of leadership such as understanding your responsibility as a leader, developing your leadership style, giving candid feedback, the science of motivation and building employee engagement. Leaders will leave this program with increased confidence and with tools and strategies to leverage in their day-to-day work leading others.

Jane Helbrecht is a leadership development and people & culture expert with over 15 years of experience in training and HR roles. At Uplift, she focuses on building people and leadership development programs that shift team dynamics so that teams can focus, get stuff done and have fun while they do it.

Jane is a fantastic facilitator and dynamic communicator who delivers training and people and culture programs in an approach that focuses not only on knowledge and skills but also on shifting attitudes and building habits for long term meaningful change. Jane has her CPHR (Certified Professional Human Resources) and is a Certified Leadership Coach.

Course Cancellation Policy

Volunteer Manitoba may decide to cancel or postpone any event where the minimum registration level has not been met. In the case of low in-person registration, Volunteer Manitoba may decide to host the workshop virtually instead. If you wish to not participate virtually, you will receive a full refund.

All participants registered for an event that is cancelled by Volunteer Manitoba will receive a full refund.

Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received within 10 days of the event. Registered participants who fail to attend an event are still required to pay for that event, since a space was held specifically for that person. In case of non-attendance and lack of payment, the registered participant will be invoiced for the full fee, due 30 days from the date of the invoice.
