Description
Embark on a leadership journey with the Advanced Non-Profit Leadership Program, designed specifically for newer executives, directors, and senior managers who are ready to tackle the complexities of leading mission-driven organizations within the non-profit sector. This comprehensive program will equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to effectively lead your organization towards achieving its mission and goals.
Through an engaging curriculum over six weeks, participants will delve into essential aspects of non-profit leadership, ensuring that you are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of these roles. This program is ideal for leaders who have stepped into senior roles within the past 1-3 years and are looking to deepen their expertise, expand their network, and elevate their organization's impact.
Each of the sessions will be a blend of discussion, problem solving, and teamwork. Classes may include some limited lecturing, as well as case studies and thought exercise. There will often be pre-reading and some other limited assigned tasks.

Facilitator
Kevin Freedman is a long-time leader in the non-profit sector. He is the founder and principal consultant at The Governance Guru where he helps boards do their jobs better through training, facilitation, and support. He spent several years teaching in the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Winnipeg, and specialized in teaching courses on non-profit management, corporate governance, and organization behaviour.
Kevin is also an award-winning volunteer and educator, having been recognized with a Governor General’s Medal for Service and the YMCA Peace Medal, among others. He holds a master’s degree in non-profit management, is an Accredited Canadian Credit Union Director, and is an active member of the Canadian Association of Public Speakers
